My pieces reflect serenity, mediterranean light and the unique character left by the fire and smoke

My work nowadays is based on the meticulous treatment of the clay. I pay special attention to the polish when I am doing a piece, and to the final finish which is done with Terras Sigillatas . I do this by decanting the clays to achieve very fine slips. Once they are applied they give the piece a bright and natural finish.

I like working with these ancient techniques though always focusing on the contemporany too.

In my work y combine sculptural trends with traditional pottery.  Where as the first demand more reflection and are a kind of personal development,  i must admit that the second supposes for me more joy during the process of creation.

After many years working with clay i feel i’m still going that way. Sometimes i leave, sometimes i come back but i always return to the pottery art so that i can find myself.

I continue creating, storing, selling, and breaking pieces as another way of feeling alive.
